My father was a florist.

[It's beautiful out here yet...strange. Weirdly disconnected. It's like looking at plants through a picture book. The soil is good, surprisingly good, but the plants here are...odd.

He wonders what it'd be like to connected to this green.]


I grew up loving flowers and plants. We lived in a swamp in Louisiana and he would take me out foraging. I learned to dive into nature when I stressed. As I got older...I sought science.

[He looks to her] No fields? I've seen the peach grove.
