Well, today has been a bit strange. When I woke up this morning I was looking at my room in the inn and thinking that I didn't have enough space. How I needed to find somewhere else to work, to function.

And a soft blue glow lit up before me. Almost compelled me to follow. Which I did. And as part of that I found myself not only a wonderful new residence, but one with electricity, three bedrooms and a nice front room with ample windows to provide light for an office.

The one thing I am lacking now that I've packed up and moved in, of course, is roommates.

I have two rooms, electric lights, a stove and a washing machine apparently. And nice workspace.

Anyone need room?


ETA: Oh, Anyone else ever experienced this sort of glowing light guiding you?

the powers are coming on and off now, like a light switch. idk how long you've been here but it wasn't like that before.

I've been here since mid-December. I wasn't aware that there was power like that anyway. I experienced the fire power earlier last month, but I don't know.

I will work harder to keep track on other things that happen here. I end up with less time to peruse than I expect.

I'm an architect. I've been working on designs for a barn, a bridge, and the rebuilding of the house that burned down. And I may focus on those a bit too well.

The house my, I think Frank called it 'power', led me there. It had electricity when I arrived. It is a useful thing to have in my line of work. Leaving the inn was a hard choice as I knew there may be a lack when I needed electricity, but here it was.

He says that as the clothes I arrived with a blue, I can see the 'right' path in certain situations. He posted a nice list of colors he had figured out.

And I have electricity-sensing powers in that I turned on a switch and lights came on. I also appear to have an electric stove and a clothes washer.

Oh, and I'm an electrical engineer. Perhaps that helped me find this place?

Back home I imagine a lot of us had a lot of things.

Though I'm curious as to what 'super speed' entails. Is it like a haste spell?

Not that you necessarily know what that is.

nah billy’s the one who does spells, not me. i’m just naturally REALLY fast. like fastest guy alive fast. so fast you’ll never see me coming.

i can also speed up things? like the molecules. so i can move thru solid walls or make stuff explode.

Well now that is interesting. There is nothing like that on Gaia. So you would definitely be superhuman.

Which I would not use as a term for you back home. It would go over poorly. We had had issues with that...

Well, as long as you don't seek to destroy the world via a meteor, you would be welcomed on Gaia.

And able to use magic because materia works for everyone.

well i don’t wanna destroy the world at all cuz i’m one of the good guys but #notallmutants. there’s plenty of mutant bad guys just like there’s plenty of regular human bad guys.

magic’s weird tho. billy might dig it but i’d rather just have my speed back.

Magic is indeed weird. The way it works on my world is there are these orbs called materia. Crystallized memories. And anyone with any hint of training can use them to cast spells. I was rather partial to fire and electricity.

I don't know who this 'Billy' is though.

billy’s my twin! he goes by wiccan back home. got all kinds of magic, which i guess is ok if you’re into that. he can do the electricity thing too.

All kinds of magic? That might be interesting to discuss. Not that speed is not valuable. Sometimes it's more important. My friends Nanaki and Yuffie would agree.

Not in the manner in which you might mean. Just fighters based on speed and agility. From the way you speak, I have to assume that you're something else entirely.

Well, that must have been a proud moment for you and frustrating for him. But the old must always step down for the young at some point.

Perhaps. Perhaps not as entertaining to those watching, but I admit a good race is not a bad thing.

Then consider a race. Put yourself against others here to determine who our fastest person is. Perhaps we should not always trust that these devices will work. Perhaps we should consider needing to know who our best messengers between the north and south villages might be if they are needed.

Which is useful in some situations. But if our goal is to figure out the fastest for potential message duty, we have to compare you over the same distance.
