Two things this evening for discussion.

First: It seems there is a new strangeness with the devices and I believe a frank and open discussion my be required. My wrist device seems to have changed from the usual blue which matched my arrival scrubs and to yellow. Furthermore I have not been able to access my previous guidance power. I have not attempted yet to see if I would be able to access the ability associated with yellow, but I believe a discussion may be warranted on this situation.


Second: Considering the loss of my guidance ability, I am not prepared to go through the forests alone to Watney's farming project where I was taken from. I had delayed my departure due to adjusting to the acquisition of a power from machine in the Bunker, but since then I have found myself in possession of some additional equipment.

Would there possibly be a party able to assist me in heading south with the gear? The sooner the better?

Yes. At the same time, I should not have been so forward. It hurt him.

Sometimes people need to be told the truth in the moment, even if it's a truth they would rather not hear. Even if it hurts at the time. Otherwise you run the risk of just, well, lying to people to make them feel better.

[ She's compassionate, of course, but also a believer in tough love when necessary. The stern reining-in. ]

Then again, I can't really judge since I don't know what the situation is. But I trust in your judgment, Reeve, even if it is more forward than usual.

We all learn and get better with experience. You still have that experience and wisdom now, even if the filter's a little... off.

I can't stay the whole time yet since I have work back at the forge too, but I can at least contribute a while. It'll be a nice change of pace I think.

[ Plus, the whole point of making all those stakes is to get them set up down the river, prepping to make that journey easier for people in future. ]

Which is part of my goal. I'm thinking about a week myself. Or some time. Of course travel time cuts it down a bit, but I have duties here and there.
