not that i love knowing they can alter the information in these, but with nothing to measure them against, how would we know the difference

Why wouldn't they be able to change the names? They're the ones who set the damned thing up in the first place, seems to me them NOT being able to change things'd be more of a concern.

Bigger question is why would they want to do something like that in the first place, or if there's any reason other than tormenting us poor saps stuck in here.
