Usually my time would fetch a pretty penny all its own, but if it gets me a light I suppose I'll allow you to put me to work. Seems like we'll all have a surplus of that ahead anyhow: time.

Not a priest or anything close. In fact, the clergy would be right insulted at the thought of John Constantine among their ranks.

Every working warlock needs a bail fund. The laws in North America leave something to be desired when it comes to demonic property damage.

Squirrels? Where I'm from that wouldn't sate a vampire's hunger for long, so I suppose it would speak to an older being acclimated to the ways of humans.

We're getting off-topic. What are your qualifications, "Mechanic" ?

I'm an Engineer, I do a little of everything. Sort of revolutionized five or six tech industries regularly back home.

Our wheelhouses do little to overlap, it would seem. I don't even own a cell phone.

Well the last big thing I did involved trying to save a wizard from an alien that wanted his magic necklace.

So not a lot overlap. but some.

What sort of necklace? It must have been a powerful talisman to draw a creature from worlds away.

Your anecdote also implies you do more than engineering if these are the sorts of activities you consider "big."

Housing for an 'infinity stone'. Some kind of time related singularity.

They tend to be pretty few and far between, but never far enough apart for me to prepare.

An infinity stone. Interesting concept. I prefer not to time-travel when I can help it though. It does get so messy.

Take it from a bloke who considers events like those part of his daily slog: you never get used to it and you're never prepared.

Of course it's possible. With the proper magics and precautions, and power. I've seldom met a warlock strong enough to do it on his own, though angels and demons have the juice without much trouble at all. There's a problem with doing magic in a group though: something always goes wrong. You could end up in the wrong time, or in the wrong dimension. Or half of you in each, if you're extra lucky.
