Pretty sure the days are the same here, once we figure out the date. If we peg them as having the harvest feast on Halloween (with all the costumes I wouldn't be surprised)

Stars aren't right for earth. The constellations are fucking foreign to everyone here.

I can do something about both- as soon as I've got a good idea of where? I'm pushing to get watchtowers built. Nothing fancy, just somewhere high to keep an eye out around the village.

I don't know of anyone that's gotten off this island yet, so we don't know if there are polar caps.

There'll be ladders. Though maybe I should include a pulley system to deliver meals and shit in the designs.

I'll toss up something on the network about signing up. People like to feel useful and it's one way to do it. Nightwatch, though, that'll be the difficult part.

You could start with some kind of triggers? Bells maybe, or oh! Someone was telling me about dust moths. What if you put them in like a cage and if they tripped it, the moths could take off.

Might distract any danger? I don't know, I mean, what's the worst around here? Those cougar things?

The moths that cause amnesia. That's a double edges sword right there.

A lot of it in the down where others are, yeah. But what else is there you could use as an early warning system? What about the lizard dogs?

Too friendly from what I've noticed. Stringing bells should work well enough to start, until we get something trained up.

Wouldn't you know something that weird is nice. At least with a warning system, whoever is in the tower would have a focus on the perimeter. Looking at patrols as well?

Something to get set up- as winter hits predators might come in looking for food, better to keep an eye out.

Is there a set up here somewhere for splitting logs for building? Never done it for more than quick shelters and never had to split logs.
