I've never been formally trained in hand-to-hand combat, but things happen, as they say.

blocking
how to break holds
how to throw your weight around
how to inflict maximum damage
you need to have a good grasp on stuff like that before you try adding weapons into the mix
if you don’t know what youre doing with weapons youre the one more likely to get hurt
also you can always lose a weapon or have it taken away but you can usually still rely on keeping control of yourself in a fight

Alright, then. I may be interested.

do you have weapons training already or were you asking cause you wanted to learn that too

In my world, I was a mage. Here I have no access to those abilities, but among other things, we do wield a stave. In pressing situations, I have been known to use it as a weapon rather than a focus, but I wouldn't call it 'formal training'.

ok not a problem i just like to know what im working with
how did you end up as a mage though
was it on purpose

dont need to get touchy

It wasn't 'touchy'. The opposite is just as strange to me. If I'm expected to understand mages are strange to you, then the opposite should also be expected of anyone else.

but whatever
now we both know

Indeed we do.
That said, yes. I would be interested in your instruction. I've been told it's expected of me.
[And boy is he glad this is text. You can't read irritation in text...right?]
