Hey. Billy here. I was thinking, if the day on this thing is right, then Hanukkah starts in like 3 days. I know it's probably not as important to most people right now, if you're even from a place where they HAVE Hanukkah, what with the whole kidnapped-across-the-multiverse thing, but I'd kind of like to do something, anyway. So if anyone wants to come by number 58 around sundown on December 2, you're welcome. Even if you aren't Jewish.

[You know, you would think being from a world with mutants and aliens and Atlanteans and whatever else, Billy would be less low-key excited about talking to an elf, but also he is talking to an elf how cool is that. So he's definitely more than willing to explain, even if he's also gonna be low-key depressed that he can't geek out with Teddy about this. Teddy would understand how cool this is.]

Uh, yeah! Yeah, I can do that. Hanukkah's also called the Festival of Lights, if that's easier for you to say. It's a Jewish holiday, back on Earth, celebrating a miracle that happened over two thousand years ago, when oil that was only supposed to last one day in the temple lasted for eight. So now, we light one candle every night for eight nights, and sing songs, and play games.

I mean, there's more to it, but my family isn't super religious, so uh. It's really more about being together with family and friends and the memories for me, you know?

I know jelly's probably a long shot but sufganiyot would be great, too. My grandmother makes the best ones with this apricot filling, I know a lot of people don't like it but they're amazing

Mmmm, peaches would be great. But isn't the season over? And those do something, right? Basically like fruity aspirin. They were helping all those folks who were sick. I wouldn't want to take away any of what little medicine this place has.

I haven't celebrated holidays since my parents died. I don't really remember.

I'm really sorry.

It's not the same, but--I kind of can't go home, or couldn't even if I was home, without putting my family in danger

And I've never spent the holidays without them, you know? We aren't super religious or anything, but it's still something. Time you spend together. I don't know. It's important. So I'm glad you're gonna be with us.

Uh, well

I kind of don't have any of the supplies, and we've mostly been eating at the inn, so idk if the kitchen is up to standard in our house

But I'm definitely going to need help cooking, and I don't have a menorah or candles, I know we can't leave them burning but an hour or so would be nice. And then I have to figure out a dreidel, and something to use instead of chocolate gelt

There's a lot to do in three days
