Hey. Billy here. I was thinking, if the day on this thing is right, then Hanukkah starts in like 3 days. I know it's probably not as important to most people right now, if you're even from a place where they HAVE Hanukkah, what with the whole kidnapped-across-the-multiverse thing, but I'd kind of like to do something, anyway. So if anyone wants to come by number 58 around sundown on December 2, you're welcome. Even if you aren't Jewish.

Hanukkah's easy. We light candles, we sing songs, we play games, we eat a ton of greasy fried food. You're gonna love it, I promise.

[Shrug!! But hey, Billy is now his family - one of the only members he cares to claim, at least. As long as he's not moping, that's a good sign, and Tommy can get behind these plans.]

I guess I can try some stuff. I don't sing, though, and I'm not holding anyone's hand for games or whatever.

Could you perhaps explain Hanukkah- am I saying that correctly? For those of us that are unfamiliar?

[You know, you would think being from a world with mutants and aliens and Atlanteans and whatever else, Billy would be less low-key excited about talking to an elf, but also he is talking to an elf how cool is that. So he's definitely more than willing to explain, even if he's also gonna be low-key depressed that he can't geek out with Teddy about this. Teddy would understand how cool this is.]

Uh, yeah! Yeah, I can do that. Hanukkah's also called the Festival of Lights, if that's easier for you to say. It's a Jewish holiday, back on Earth, celebrating a miracle that happened over two thousand years ago, when oil that was only supposed to last one day in the temple lasted for eight. So now, we light one candle every night for eight nights, and sing songs, and play games.

I mean, there's more to it, but my family isn't super religious, so uh. It's really more about being together with family and friends and the memories for me, you know?

Is there a particular meal one has? I understand most religious celebrations or holy days typically include some type of significant food. Or at least that is the way of it in Antiva.

Oh yeah, the food is one of the best parts. Almost everything is fried, we do potato cakes and jelly doughnuts and matzo soup, and my mom usually does brisket but it depends on how many people are coming over, usually. Kugel, too, that's an egg noodle casserole, my dad's is really good.

Do you have any holidays like it where you're from? Uh, you said Antiva, right?

Satinalia will be soon, if the seasons here are anything like they are at home- and we celebrate with two weeks of revelries- wine, dancing, gift giving, pranks, masquerade balls, the naming of a town fool as ruler for a day, feasting, and after? A week of fasting. Ah, there is so much I miss of home but that celebration? Most of all. No one parties quite like an Antivan after all.

Carol Danvers is in fact still amazing and always will be honestly, she's on the Avengers team still, at least she was the last time I checked the wiki line-up, Teddy is usually pretty good about keeping that up to date
