Dear: Whomever Might Be Reading,
I know that this method of communication is not new for most of you, but it is unlike anything I've ever really used before. I have discovered that one can make crude little faces to express emotion, like this - (: and ):
This made me curious as to what other things related to this electronic way of "speaking" I am ignorant about. Are there other faces? Are there rules about what might be forbidden? I find myself with more time than I know what to do with, and so any distractions in the form of advice would be helpful.
Thank you!
Sincerely: Thor Odinson

I am often about in the Inn offering my stories and services should they be needed; if ever you've time to spare and wish for pleasant and attractive company I'd enjoy sharing a glass or two of wine with you by the fire. That would be more than help enough.

I like the Inn! It is a very cozy and welcoming place. Their stews are also very good, though I have learned that I need to do something called "pace myself" so that I don't have a repeat of what happened when I first went there. I ate five or six bowls of stew and became very, very uncomfortable with the aftermath of it.
Your offer is very generous! And I would love to make a new friend here, especially if wine is involved. I didn't know we had such things! The next time I am there, I will make sure to look for you.
Actually, I believe your friend, Bull, has told me about you! Are you an Elf?

Eating slowly tends to avoid that particular discomfort, usually I find something that requires more effort to consume such as crab or artichoke helps in this endeavor. If I find any in my fishing trips I shall share it with you.
Apparently sometimes we are gifted with such things from those that watch us, I was gifted with quite a bit of wine. It is best enjoyed when it is shared, after all.
I am indeed! What has the Bull told you of me?

Yes, I have been advised to go more slowly and to wait in between bowls so as to figure out when I am "full" and when I should stop. It is a very strange thing to have to consider, but the memories of how uncomfortable I felt are enough to hopefully keep me mindful! And thank you, that is very kind of you to offer. If I hunt and find myself successful, I will give you some of what I collect!
They give us gifts? How do we get them? Do we have to do something particularly nice or kind for someone else? Are they rewards?
He told me that you are an Elf and that you are from the same world. I like him! He seems a very formidable ally! He's so tall! I talked about the kinds of beings I am familiar with, Light and Dark Elves were included. The Dark Elves aren't very nice, but you are, so you are most like a Light Elf, I think.

I can honestly say I have no idea? They simply appeared on my doorstep one morning, very strange. A box with a card that had my name on it and little else. They make for excellent storage, but I cannot think of a single remarkable thing I've done to earn them. Aside from being my marvelous self, of course.
We do not have light and dark elves so to speak, we've those that live in the city and the Dalish that live in the wild. I, myself, am a City Elf.
Sincerely: Zevran.

Perhaps that is precisely the reason why you received one - for being your marvelous self. I wonder if I might not earn one someday. I am curious what these .. beings would deem appropriate for me to receive.
City Elf. What sort of city? Is it like the City of New York? I've been there before, as well as a small town in New Mexico. We also have Cat Elves who have Riding Cats! They're in Alfheim. I've always liked them. Did you have anything like that where you're from?

It is wonderful that you think that should be enough! Perhaps you too shall gain their favor by being a ravishing hunk of beautiful manhood, dashing about with poise and vigor.
Antiva City is a sprawling jewel among the sands of Antiva, a port city full of trade and many kinds of people from all across the continent.
Cats large enough to ride? Usually are not tame enough TO ride, they tend to eat the faces of those that attempt it.

You are gifted at compliments! I shall have to remember this whenever I am feeling down about myself. I hope I can return such a favor, should you ever need it!
Your city sounds beautiful. Asgard is too. Do you miss it?
Perhaps someday I can meet the Cat Elves and learn how they are able to tame their feline steeds. Then I can tell you how they do it, should you ever encounter one you'd like to claim as your own.

I have been told I've a talented tongue, it is only wise to use it on those that are deserving of my attention.
Every day for over a year. It has been a long while since I've seen my Antiva City- and it shall be a long while before it is safe for me to return- if it ever is.
Good to know!

By contrast, I've known many people who are not skilled with their tongue. Every time they open their mouths, their words make no sense or are hurtful! [Thor, no. That's not what that means.] But that is most definitely a skill one would want to share when the appropriate moment presents itself!
I am sorry to hear this. It is similar for my hope of Asgard. I was trying to return to it in order to help save it from destruction, but rather than winding up there on the other side of the Devil's Anus, I woke up here. I worry for my home every second I am here and am unable to do what I need to do. A friend who was with me told me that we saved my people, but I have not yet lived through such an event. For me, I still worry.

Alas, there is not much it seems we can do as of yet to change our fate. Perhaps in time we will find a way back home but- the more pressing concern is surviving the winter and making certain our fellow villagers survive as well.

Yes, survival is the most important part! I would like to help however I can to help everyone survive! No dying! ):
