[A video feed opens on Anne - her hair tamed and sleek, thanks to Zevran, sitting in the living room of a newly claimed house. There's the crackle of a fire in the background as she smiles into the camera.]
Good afternoon. For those who were interested in meeting for a 'Stitch & Bitch' session - or more simply a chance to meet for some fiber arts activities and general discussion, I have everything set up for a meeting starting after lunch, in House 53.
I'm not sure what materials people have been able to find so far, so this may just be more discussion and less yarning, but if anyone has any supplies they would like to donate beforehand for newcomers, let me know.
Either way, I hope to see you here, and if you have any questions, please let me know.
Later, Unrelated
I was wondering if anyone had experience with the fauna here? I'm looking for a pet for my friend, but it needs to be special.

Also, unrelated to said friend, are you willing to part with your zalpacas fleece? I'm trying to organize production of yarn and fleece is, well, pivotal.

sure! i need to make sure they can survive the winter, too, but i was thinking their wool would make good mittens or blankets or scarves. i dont know if we have the right equipment for all of that though.
no subject
Yes, I don't want you sacrificing any of your zalpacas, that wouldn't do for the long-term and they're yours to begin with - but I think it would be important for those who are fiber-works inclined to join forces for the greater winter goods.
What equipment would you need?
no subject
yes! i think its a great idea!
umm shears to begin with. i could use any kind of scissors as long as theyre sharp. i dont want to have to pull the wool out. i dont know how they would react to it.
[ which is to say she has absolutely pulled wool off sheep before. ]

[ She definitely doesn't change her username almost every time she responds to a post, nope. ]
They're kinda prissy, standoffish, willing to cuddle but only on their terms
so basically what you'd expect from a cat?
no subject
You know, that sounds exactly like my kind of pet. But, I'm looking for him.
I guess, if you're willing, I will take one that seems less aloof than the others (if that's even possible). If it doesn't warm up to him, I'll take it.

Worst case scenario; we find a book in the library and you and I learn on the fly together.

Fine. I'll try. Try and not make a fool of myself.
[Oh the irony.]

But you're right - there are very few ways to die from sewing, that I know of.

I'll give it a try.

You can find them around the river, and it takes effort not to have one follow you home.

Crocodile Dogs? They sound ... toothy.
[This wasn't for her, though, and a dog was probably more Eddie's speed than a cat anyway,]
More "Crocodile" than "Dog", I hope!

And Tones will tell you I'm real strong on bitching.
no subject
That is good to hear; glad we'll have a strong front covering the bitching section of the evening.

Also, you should look at Croc-Dogs. They're by the river and very cute.

I look forward to seeing you later today! Is there anything you hope to learn in particular?
no subject
I can sew well but that's it.

I'll see what the inn has too and see you at the meeting.

You're more than welcome to stop by, take a look, see if there's anything you'd like to learn.

Well, if you decide to get your little ol' bitty on, you know where to go!
