He can't forget that winter is coming.

This is uncomfortable. We have never been this open before. Venom's voice in his head is anxious. Eddie turns on the camera and he looks his usual pale and shaky self. Beads of sweat ooze down his head and he gags heavily.]

Hey guys. Eddie Brock here. Your friendly neighborhood reporter...guy. Who is a...[He swallows] Okay so. There's some folks who know this...

[he shakes his head]

I'm saying this wrong.

[Eddie gags again and when he speaks he sounds...different.]

Eddie. Talk Stupid

[he coughs again, nearly leaning to the floor before he comes up with a grunt.]

Stop! fucking stop trying to talk through my throat okay that hurts like hell - !

[No. That's disconcerting. Something black swims through his vision, visibly inhuman. He grips his knees.]

Right. Okay. Long story short. I'm Eddie Brock. I'm a reporter. I believe firmly in...[He swallows and coughs.] Vox Populi Vox Dei. The voice of the people is the voice of God. Back home I did that...and I hurt people I care about doing it.

[His eyes are red rimmed and he looks sick.]

I'll never be able to apologize enough but it's okay. Cause I...well. I met Venom. Who is Venom. Well. That's what this...video is about.

[ugh. he yawns hard and sighs]

I'm usually a lot better on camera. Sorry. Sorry.

So this guy. Carlton Drake. If you're from the same universe as Tony Stark and Bruce Banner and everybody else you might know him. Head of the Life Foundation? So...He was bad news bears. He kidnapped... [yawn] Homeless people in San Francisco and he was trying to ...feed them to aliens. Well, bond them to aliens. From a planet. Called Klyntar-

[Augh. His guts churn.]

I went to investigate the place. To rescue a woman I knew. Her name was Maria. Shit. Shit I don't have much time...

That's what I'm saying! Eddie I need you to focus!

[Eddie Swoons.]

I agreed...to be a host for...the symbiote. That's what they are. We fit. Perfect match one in a million in the galaxy. Drake... and Venom...decided to stay...hes...

[But Eddie gets no further as he slumps in his chair. A few moments pass before something Happens. It's slow as his body vanishes and swells into something decidedly inhuman. The creature sits up and sniffs before staring down at the camera. One big milky white eye focuses on it.]

What Eddie didn't say is that we defeated Drake and saved the day. He is a loser. I am a loser. Together we are greater then the sum of our parts. We are mighty warriors! And we will now take questions. Like Eddie does. When he is a reporter he asks questions. Ask us questions! now!

[It's probably not a good thing that this great hulking thing has it's teeth out but he nods. His tongues lolls out of it's mouth as it gets uncomfortably close to the camera.]

We Are Venom

[So many of the villagers use this feature to confess things. First, he talked to the woman who eats brains and is something called a "zombie." Thor hasn't gone out hunting yet, but he hasn't forgotten the promise he'd made to bring her brains whenever he did. He's never really figured out if it's strange or not that he sort of just rolled with that.

Thor's currently trying to ambush a family of (hopefully non-venemous) snakes near the river when this one comes through. He's never met the guy who starts off talking in the video, and the name Carlton Drake doesn't ring any immediate bells - though Tony and Bruce's names certainly do. Trying to maintain focus on both the video and the snakes, he brings himself down to a kneel, one hand at the ready to strike and catch a new friend.

It's when the guy transforms that Thor recognizes the ... uh, creature .. thing that takes the human's place. He'd seen him roaming around the village at night, and they'd had an interesting conversation.

He responds with his own video. His cheeks are flush with the cold, as is his nose. And, despite still grappling with all of the truth bombs unloaded on him during his arrival and the days following, he seems generally well-adjusted. Sometimes it pays to be an eternal optimist.

With a grin, his eyes flicker back and forth between the camera and the rock where he thinks the family of snakes are currently living.]

I recognize you! Well, not the guy before who was talking, but ... you. The .. uh. [He makes a gesture around his face the way he had when he'd met Venom and tried to tell him that if he wanted to make more friends, he had to think about changing his Very Frightening appearance because it's hard to make friends when you're Very Frightening.] First, congratulations on coming out and telling the truth! It seems like a lot of people feel compelled to do that here. Which is great! I, for one, am very pleased that people get to be themselves and be happy. Hopefully they're happy. I imagine it's a great relief to share a secret like this with everyone, so thank you. [He freezes, eyes looking at something off-camera. He thought he saw the hint of a tail, but it's just a twig.]

Also, I have to ask does it hurt your - uh, human when you do that? Take over? Where do you live when he's his usual self? Does he have like a backpack where you live and then you come out when you're needed or when you grow restless? Are you sewn into his jacket lining? How does that work?

Also also, you said your name was Venom? Venom ... as in .... snakes? How good might you be at catching them?

[Asgardian! Venom holds the video closer, peering at him before lowering it back and backing into Eddie's couch. It kicks away and Venom growls.]

My human does not get hurt. With my help they do not get hurt easily. I can heal him from anything. Normally. This place has hindered us...

[Venom snarls.] We hate this place. And we live inside him. We can be a jacket normally. We can not do that here. We can make him clothes. We would like that but Eddie says it creeps him out if we make him clothing.

[Snakes]

We'd do that. We cannot be bitten by snakes.

You can heal them! That is a very good skill to have. We Asgardians have super-human healing capabilities, but I like the idea of having a - err, friend - being able to do so with and for us! I imagine that your human is not often lonely since he has you. Though I am saddened to hear that your abilities have also been hampered. I wonder if it is something innate about being in the village or if there is not something larger at play here, like a forcefield.

You can be a jacket! [Thor lets out a delighted laugh.] This is fascinating. Is this what Banner feels like when he's discovering something or in one of his science-brain-moments? No wonder he likes learning things! What kind of clothing can you make? I've been very much wanting a cape, to replace the one I used to but no longer have.

[And then Thor grins as wide a grin as he can muster.] You are my new best friend! I am trying to capture a snake that I've found - or at least that I think I've found. It's a group of them, under a rock. Around a rock. Near some rocks. I don't believe they can injure me, but seeing as I no longer have my Asgardian abilities, I feel as though I must be more cautious than I would have been previously. Do you think you could assist me? I can .. uh. Make you something in the forge! Once I learn how to use it properly!

You do not have to make us anything. Finally, we have a chance to truly use our skills. Eddie just needs to embrace it

[He loves his human. That said.]

[Thor nods like he's agreeing, but he's definitely going to try to make this creature something. Or maybe the human he's the jacket for. It's probably just going to be a lump of melted ore or something since Thor doesn't really know how to do anything else yet, but hopefully he'll get better and be able to make more impressive gifts for people.]

Does this Eddie person like snakes? Will he be upset if you help me?

It is of no consequence to Eddie. He sleeps within me and I protect him. I will help you Asgardian.

[His smile is wide]

Oh. [Thor frowns.] I don't want him to be upset - with me or with you!

Buuuuut .. [He looks off-camera, presumably at the snakes he's been meaning to catch.] I also would like help collecting these snakes.

So, I will leave the choice to you.
