Hi, my name is Steve. Many of you I know, some I don't. Normally, I'd made a speech about this, but I'm a little out of practice with those. So I'm just gonna be straight with you.

I'd like to learn how to fight.

With sticks, with staff, with a sword. I'd like to learn archery. Clint taught me the basics but he's not here and that's a skill I need to hone. Payment can be in trade - manual labor, I'm good enough with my hands, or some artistic if I can find some extra supplies.

All of it. How to hunt, mostly, but I was never trained in archery. Guns and knives and explosives are more my style. If we had any of that around, I’d offer to teach you.

I have taken to the dojo in the afternoons, to keep myself fit. You're welcome to come join me. I've made some training staffs. They aren't very durable because I wasn't able to find good hard wood. Danny said he would look into that for me, but in the mean time it's something to learn grips with.

And you'll find that it's a great weapon to further your spacial awareness with.

Oh, wow. I'd really like to learn how to handle an axe. We're talking something bigger than a wood-chopping blade, right?

Yeah, I got a great axe that Tony made me. But you can use the same techniques with a wood axe too. That is what makes them a good choice for most people. If you're going to use the iron it is a tool for peace time as well as war.

If we can whip up some training weapons I could offer some sword lessons. Where I'm from I'm a combat specialist with gunblade mastery, essentially a modified sword. The swordsmanship itself is more important than the gun part anyway. I also have some basic hand to hand knowledge, nothing extensive, enough to get out out in a pinch.
