Hey, my roommate hasn't been home in several days. I fear we might be looking at the first we're aware of who has vanished.

I really don't like that we've got anyone to look into about this. First Kira, his friend from home. Now him. I really hate that it's Ty.

He is awesome. He may still be here. I just worried he might be hurt. He went out candy frog hunting once with someone and I know he did some other stuff like eating zoom seeds after I told him about them. I worry he's out there and did something stupid.

Hmmm alright well, hold on. I'm an expert tracker. We can probably ask Frank if one of his hounds could help search too, get a scent for him.

He's gone. I guess they took him? It's been over a week. We went looking, but he's definitely not here anymore, and he would have told me if he was going somewhere dangerous. So I think he's just gone.

You didn't find any sign of him? No signs of foul play?

I'm so sorry. I really am. I just... I have to wonder how this happens here. How do we see no one.

No, no signs. I looked extensively. I have no idea how it happened. He seems to have gone without a trace at all.

And you would have mentioned if his things were gone. None of Ty's are either.

I know people said that others just sort of ... vanish sometimes. But to where? I don't know. Back home?

That's what scares me. Where are they? Do kidnappers return people to their homes? And if not, where are they?

I don't know. People do come back without memories. Maybe they are the same people, just brainwashed. Maybe they still have them somewhere.

I heard about it! There are several people here who versions of them have existed before but they don't remember it happening.

My mom's been here before. I wonder if she'll come back.

I just want him back. We were separated for six years in his time. He wanted to stay.

I’ve spoken to someone by that name but I never had the chance to meet him in person. Did he work at the hospital?

[connatural]

He does. Not accepting it's past tense yet but that's him.

Sorry. No past tense. He offered to show me around the hospital once I was more settled when I arrived a few weeks back.

Yeah, that sounds like him. It's been like a week since I've seen him, which isn't normal. We cross paths at least every other day.

I hope nothing bad's happened to him. Do people get lost outside of the village?

[connatural]

We don't know. People seem to come and go, but no one knows where they go. Me and others have speculated, and none of the answers are good. Best answer is somehow and for some reason our kidnappers return us home.

It is if that's what's actually happening, though for some that won't help.

No. No it won't. I know it won't help me much.

Not me either. I'm sorry. For Ty though it might be okay. At least there's that.

It is what it is, right? We can't go back and change the past. We can only deal with what hand we've been dealt here. But yeah, for him, it could be okay.
