[ She's perfectly, delightfully happy to ramble on whenever he lets her. And Brigitte doesn't want to read too deeply into those few words and extrapolate something that isn't there, but... 'second skin' implies so much. That means something crucial, something more intrinsic than just a good, well-designed fit. ]

I get it. Maybe not as much as you, but I got used to that feeling of protection, you know? I miss my shield most, I think. I'm working on forging a replacement but it's not really the same without the projected barriers. The new metal-only version's heavier than I'm used to.
