So it has sorta come to my attention that not everyone might be familiar with the concept of an AI. Apparently some time line differences and stuff. So Theta's asked me to do what he says used to be called an 'AMA'

He says it stands for 'Ask Me Anything.'

So basically does anyone have questions for or about Artificial Intelligences? I'll probably let Theta be in charge of answering, he's better at understanding this particular part of the stuff than I am.

Oh, right. I'm North Dakota, and the little guy in my head, his name is Theta.

I think it would be fun to learn either way. After all, I need to find a way to help out around here, and hunting isn't something I'm adverse to.

So which is better? Like, we don't really use that stuff in our time.

It depends. A longbow is insanely strong. But it requires skill and strength. It is a good weapon when you know how to make it. A recurve bow requires less strength, it's not as strong but it is also smaller and easier to carry. A crossbow doesn't really require strength, but they are harder to make. You might want to talk to Hawke, she's more proficient with archery than me. I've always prefered close combat.

No that is it. I could always ping him here after all, right?

Of course. You could also reach out to me, but Theta would like the attention. Still, this is sort of the best way to get from Theta a bit more directly. Sure, I'm still a 'mouthpiece' for him, but I can basically let him type through my fingers.

%his is still a little odd to me, we use ink and parchment in my world. But I am getting better at it. And as you said, this works better for him.

Yeah, paper isn't as common when I'm around. It's a really weighty resources that takes up room on space ships that could be better used for, well, literally anything else.

Theta's having some trouble acclimatizing to life like this. He's not used to having to use me as a go between. Getting him to sleep is a lot harder than it used to be.

I can imagine that is frustrating for him yeah. And does he need to sleep? Or is that part of the problem?

Does he need it? No. Do we both enjoy points where he's resting and opting into lower levels of processing? Yes. It's a bit less stress on my brain.

I can imagine that is nice yeah. Does it take a lot of energy? Do you have to eat for two or whatever it is they call it?

What? No, nothing like

Huh.

Actually, now that you mention it, I am eating more since I got here. Figured it was just because I was happy to be off MREs. But without my armor and it's power system to help support him, there may be some extra energy toll on my body.

Well, as long as your body can handle it we should be able to feed you I think. Just have to go hunting a bit more.

Well I do intend to help along those lines once I learn this new method of shooting.
