I had a wonderful and unexpected surprise in my house this morning! Several boxes full of supplies that I can use in the north village forge. I know Signore Tony and his companions are doing wonderful work in the south, so I will be working on other projects up here. If you have need of a blade inform me, it seems especially necessary after such an ordeal with people stranded in dangerous situations! If you have a blade but wish it to be sharpened or stronger, I can assist.

I am also working on patching up and upgrading the boats in the nearby water, I thought perhaps it would be helpful to have a stable boat to go to the intriguing pod that brings one to the underground area. If anyone is willing to donate wood to the cause I would be most appreciative!

I received supplies that will be perfect in making the hidden Assassin blades! I would be happy to put one together for each of you. I also have the material to make a reasonably acceptable gauntlet to attach it to. Signore Altaïr, I have yet to meet you, but I must say I would be honored to meet you, as I decoded your codex pages and they were extraordinary.

Serious question. From what I'm learning from Desmond, it sounds like in your time people could be jailed or killed for this. Which would mean you have spent your life mostly in the closet, right?

I do not know what it would be like to exist in that type of situation, so it is something I suppose I will have to absorb with time.

I am very good with boundaries, but I do appreciate the warning. I admit I am very easily skittish on this matter. I was arrested for it once, which means from then on I was watched very closely. They eventually decided it was a mistake of the youth. It is very lucky I had powerful friends at the time, many are not so lucky.

But I'm really sorry you had to go through that because of the tiny little minds of those people who thought themselves worthy of judging you. Anyone who could arrest a person who could judge another on terms of their sexuality are, at absolute best, scum.

Which is really an insult to scum.

They are deeply held beliefs in Italia, my country. It is the home of the Pope, the head of the church, and therefore not a place warm toward sin of any kind. The scripture is very clear. I myself am not a religious man, but the law applies to me regardless. Or it did, as long as I lived there.

I appreciate your discretion on this matter while I contemplate it further. It is helpful, for if someone were to say all this to my face, I wold have reacted quite dramatically and given a poor impression.

Glad I got the chance to say it like this. Sorry to catch you off guard with it. I just couldn't fathom the idea that someone wouldn't get what I was saying.

Frankly, I'm a bit angrier that something else exists. If I found myself in your time, I might have some really 'harsh' words with people in charge.

There were people who tried to push back, but the soldiers and guard force were there to enforce the law. And the people hate sinners, so they found very few others willing to support them or buy from them after that, if they did survive the guards. As valued as I was to powerful friends, they could not spare me for a second offense. It was simply how it worked.

Yeah, I mean, I have no problem overthrowing unjust societal structures, so I'd probably try anyway.

That is a great deal to take in. There are mercenaries and child soldiers on earth too, however. So the magic and monsters are the big difference I can see.

I started my training as a mercenary and ultimately spy and assassin when I was eight. It's a bit of a mess.
