This group of us have only been here about two and a half years, so it depends on what you mean by "many years." A lot of people have disappeared and returned, some multiple times over. The timelines vary, but as far as I know, more than a year between disappearance and reappearance isn't common.

It is concerning that they can take us and send us back and forth at a whim. It makes me wonder what else they are capable of.

It is strange, but I have not thought of him as family until just now. I suppose that's the reason.
