Oh. It's nice they're able to work together and be a couple, that can be a hard balancing act. My ex and I had something similar.

We have animal codenames too. Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Black Panther, Black Widow.

That makes sense. I'm pretty sure Captain America was assigned to Steve, not chosen, and the papers coined Iron Man. The Hulk, my [uhhhh] superhuman part chose his own name.

So our two worlds both have a lot of superheroes, but they're separate multiverses.

I think it'd be an ideal situation, but only if there weren't reasons to need superheroes, and I can't imagine that kind of world.

For a long time our world existed without any superheroes. There were a few powered people but not in the public.

It's only the past six years or so we became front and center.

six years? jesus. superheroes helped fight in world war 2. batman's been around about as long as I've been alive

We did have Cap in World War 2, and then some of us showed up here and there, but nothing resembling a team or an active superhero until Tony.

There was a theory that the rise of superheroes in our world also led to the rise of supervillains. A balance that only existed if one was stronger than the other.

that's crap. there have always been bad people, and they've always looked for new ways to be bad. if they don't have powers they just make new weapons.

I agree, the supervillains didn't create crime. The Avengers mostly only get involved when it's a huge threat, not the day to day crime.
