I have no clue what the Milky Way is but I can say the stars here do not match any from my world.

And the only time I hear of ‘Earth’ is when people here talk about it. I presume you mean with a capital E. Can’t imagine why people would name a planet after dirt but go ahead.

I cannot offer any signs of recognisable stars, but I have been making an effort to chart those we see as well as name suitable constellations. If you would wish to see what I propose so far, you are welcome to look at my charts.

I spent a while traveling between galaxies, the Milky Way being home. I don't recognize the skies here so far, but I could potentially be of some assistance.

Have you tried talking to it? I use its voice-to-text feature and after a little troubleshooting it's wound up pretty seamless. Might show you settings and, uh, disable the capslock for you that way?

I'm not an expert in stellar cartography, sadly, but I can recognize plenty in the Milky Way Galaxy, not just those seen easily around Earth. Unfortunately... not much past that. Starfleet mostly has experience with the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, with a little more of the Gamma Quadrant. We don't have a lot of experience past our galaxy.

[ unfortunately, she doesn't know that voyager is currently lost in the delta quadrant and will one day be able to answer a lot of questions about that one. for all starfleet knows now, that quadrant is unknown. ]

I wouldn't call stellar cartography a particular specialty of mine? But the existence of other galaxies is well-known. Although I have to admit to having more theoretic familiarity with the idea, than practical - most of Starfleet's experience is with the Alpha or Beta Quadrant.

Beyond the Milky Way, I'm familiar with the Andromeda galaxy. The bad news: none of these stars look like those, either.
