If anyone has a few hours free, I could use a set of strong arms to help me move my things back to the inn. There's quite a bit now, especially with recent events and I'd like to be done all at once.

I'm sure I can dig up something to offer as payment.

I was with an agency called the SSR.

[ She has little worries about telling Thor this. He's from her world and the future, which means that for him, she's practically just a note in the history books and she's able to speak freely. ]

During the war, I was a liaison to the science division and after, I worked my way into the field, to become an agent and help prevent disasters from happening.

Science division. Oh, you might enjoy talking to my ex, Jane! She's an Astrophysicist. One of the leading ones, I think. You might have something in common with your .. science talk. [Thor only sort of kind of gets it, to be honest. He considers her as he makes his way towards the door, boxes in-hand.] That is a very noble pursuit. What made you want to become an agent?

I'm hardly the scientific mind. That was always Howard. I helped with the military aspect more than anything, getting the recruits ready, making sure that the Colonel was aided.

[ In a different world, perhaps she even would have been one of them. ]

It wasn't my first choice, admittedly. It was something my brother encouraged me to do.

You have a brother! Hopefully he is — [Thor stops himself. He doesn't wish to speak ill of his brother; for all his faults, he can't help but adore him. He's family, after all.] What is your brother like? Is he the science-minded one, since he encouraged you to pursue it?

[ Peggy manages to keep a steady face, because she doesn't like to talk about this very much, which means that she's become very good at hiding her emotions behind a wall of denial. ]

He's dead, unfortunately. He was in the field as well and he believed I was wasting my time at Bletchley doing only codebreaking when he believed I could accomplish so much more.

[Thor stops walking and considers Peggy for a few silent moments. He shakes his head as he continues walking.] I am sorry to hear such news, Peggy. Truly, I am.

Loki has died— ugh, more times than I care to recall. He's always come back, though. I mourned him the first time, because I thought him truly gone, but I've learned my lesson. I don't do that anymore. [He's maybe trying to lighten the mood a little bit while also attempting to show that he can understand, in his own way.] Would you like to tell me about him? I'd understand if you'd rather not, but— if you do want to, please do.
