It appears my roommate's gone missing. Or he's been missing for a few days now at least. His name is Connor. I can only assume he's somehow returned back to his time as that seems to be a pattern I'm noticing since I got here a month ago.

He had a tendency to go out hunting a lot. Went between the inn and across the bridge most of the time. Tall, gentle giant looking kind of guy, [ IC edit after speaking with Nida: ] Native American dark hair, dark eyes, tanned skin with a pair of good looking cheekbones. He isn't much of a speaker. He also went by 'ratonhnhaké:ton' on the network.

Please let me know if you've seen him? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I really wanted to get to know him. He was going to teach me all about animals that weren't monsters. The stories he told me from his people were amazing.

I'll keep an eye out. What's Native American mean?

He took care of me for the first few weeks I was here. We'd also had plans for climbing trees and for hunting. If you'd like, I can help with the animal lessons?

But thank you. Oh, Native American is another term for Aboriginal, Indian, Indigenous. It's essentially a race outside of another race, say, Asian or Black African. Native Americans have the characteristics of dark hair, dark eyes, tanned skin tones, high cheekbones, prominent facial structure.

You mentioned that he'd told you stories of his people? His people were also Native American.

Sorry, I completely forgot that not everyone comes from the same world or time. Any kind of issues with race or ethnicity here, it's zero to none and nowhere near a big deal as it is back home. I'm glad, it's a nice change of pace.

I wouldn't know. I haven't had much of a chance yet to properly explore outside of the village. I'll be happy to help with the animals thing though, the ones that aren't monsters. As for the tree climbing, that would be great. I might need another few weeks for recovery though. I made the mistake of climbing the mansion at the party we had. I'm pretty out of shape and not completely healed.

You deal with spears? That's neat. I never worked with polearms. I'm more skilled with guns and blades.

It's okay, really. Like I said, different worlds and times. The races I mentioned, there only seem to be issues with them where I'm from, Earth.

How are your stitches? Also that was really a bad idea. But also sounds fun. I wish I'd thought of it.

I'm a polearm specialist. Never really took well to guns, sorts was too small for a sword. It was the best choice growing up. Certified teacher in the field too. Well, not with war-hammer class, but other polearms are cool.

On, no, racism is a thing in my world too. Totally. Just there is a lot more of it focused on regional stuff than anything else.

They mostly all came out some time before New Year's Eve. I didn't have to worry much about them. Are you a climber?

Certified to teach, at least where I'm from. And as we have those monsters I mentioned before, that carries some weight. If I don't teach well, people die. If you want to learn other things, look up Danny Rand. He's in charge of the dojo and is trying to help people out.

Esthar, Trabia, Galbadia, Balamb, Dollet, Centra are the major regions. Though the last one is sort of... shattered.

I've only been here for a month but there's been more than one incident where someone's gone missing or they've been returned home and there's been a notice posted on the network.

Then maybe once the snow melts, the buildings and trees will be easier to go over.

That was the continent the Lunar Cry specifically hit that time. Monsters spread from there. Trabia got hit too, that left a massive crater. The place it hit in Esthar already had a crater... Actually all three major hit places were probably hit before. or will be again.

Where else would they go? In the short time that I’ve know him, I know he’s not one to get lost. He’s skilled at what he does, skilled at being out in the wild. Even if this place isn’t exactly the same as what he might be used to. He’s still fairly capable of holding his own.
