It appears my roommate's gone missing. Or he's been missing for a few days now at least. His name is Connor. I can only assume he's somehow returned back to his time as that seems to be a pattern I'm noticing since I got here a month ago.

He had a tendency to go out hunting a lot. Went between the inn and across the bridge most of the time. Tall, gentle giant looking kind of guy, [ IC edit after speaking with Nida: ] Native American dark hair, dark eyes, tanned skin with a pair of good looking cheekbones. He isn't much of a speaker. He also went by 'ratonhnhaké:ton' on the network.

Please let me know if you've seen him? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I mean, the animals might not be relevant here, but I wouldn't mind having a new tutor. And if you need help with tree climbing, I can help there. My sort of hunting I can't really do here, though. I'm a spear hunter.

Yeah, I really don't understand most of those race terms you used, but I think I've got a rough idea. Maybe? I don't know.

I wouldn't know. I haven't had much of a chance yet to properly explore outside of the village. I'll be happy to help with the animals thing though, the ones that aren't monsters. As for the tree climbing, that would be great. I might need another few weeks for recovery though. I made the mistake of climbing the mansion at the party we had. I'm pretty out of shape and not completely healed.

You deal with spears? That's neat. I never worked with polearms. I'm more skilled with guns and blades.

It's okay, really. Like I said, different worlds and times. The races I mentioned, there only seem to be issues with them where I'm from, Earth.

How are your stitches? Also that was really a bad idea. But also sounds fun. I wish I'd thought of it.

I'm a polearm specialist. Never really took well to guns, sorts was too small for a sword. It was the best choice growing up. Certified teacher in the field too. Well, not with war-hammer class, but other polearms are cool.

On, no, racism is a thing in my world too. Totally. Just there is a lot more of it focused on regional stuff than anything else.

They mostly all came out some time before New Year's Eve. I didn't have to worry much about them. Are you a climber?

Oh nice. A specialist. That's pretty good. And you're certified? I guess I know who I'll be speaking to if I ever decide to try my hand at spears.

Trees, buildings, mountains. Yeah. Climber.

Certified to teach, at least where I'm from. And as we have those monsters I mentioned before, that carries some weight. If I don't teach well, people die. If you want to learn other things, look up Danny Rand. He's in charge of the dojo and is trying to help people out.

Esthar, Trabia, Galbadia, Balamb, Dollet, Centra are the major regions. Though the last one is sort of... shattered.

Then maybe once the snow melts, the buildings and trees will be easier to go over.

Danny Rand. I'll keep him in mind. But you still have skills to offer here, you can still teach what you know.

I do still have the skills, I will still teach. I'm glad to do it of course. I'm already training a few people.

Uh... Was a continent, now is islands and a land mass with a massive inner sea.

Wow. And only that one continent suffered? Everything else survived?

That was the continent the Lunar Cry specifically hit that time. Monsters spread from there. Trabia got hit too, that left a massive crater. The place it hit in Esthar already had a crater... Actually all three major hit places were probably hit before. or will be again.

Will be again? That's not reassuring. How often does this happen?

Naturally? Anywhere between every 75 and 200 years.

Artificially? There have been three in my lifetime. I'm twenty.

Something's clearly not adding up. Either way, that's not something you or anyone should have to experience.

What doesn't add up about that? Lunar Cries just are.

You'll be a better expert on the entire matter, you'll know all that there is.

Not all there is. The things are still a pretty serious mystery on my world.
