[ She takes her staff everywhere with her. If it isn't hidden at her back it's at least poking out of her backpack. Never leave home without a weapon, right? And knives are great, but sometimes a ranged weapon is the wiser choice.

She doesn't even make coffee before turning the house upside down, checking every nook and cranny four times before she gives up. Her weapon is gone, and the only way it could have disappeared is if somebody took it. ]

[ She turns the video on for this, just in case anyone questions whether she's serious or not. She is very, very serious. ]

Someone here has taken something that doesn't belong to them. If it isn't returned in the next 24 hours, I will start breaking things and it won't stop at fingers.

Ah, completely fair. I absolutely believe you will have checked your house by now. So, are there other locations you went in the last day or two since you remember having the item in question?

[If he can't help by looking himself, allow him to put some logic into the situation.]

It isn’t lost, Reeve.

[ Her tone is entirely reasonable, if tired and frustrated. Reeve is not a suspect at this time. This was intentional, or the thief never would have made it into the house, much less her bedroom. ]

It would be like losing your boxers. If they weren’t in the house you’d know why. This didn’t happen by accident.

My motivation to do what, exactly? Return that which I didn't take? It isn't as if I could exactly keep an eye out for an item I'm not able to recognize.
