[Someone would have to be human to be able to die. Near-death-experiences are often traumatic for humans, and the (admittedly very unusual) scenario this person is describing sounds doubly so. What would he advise a human to do?]

Consult a professional for assistance in recovering from the incident.

If killer is at large, report to law enforcement and prosecute.

Why?

They were killed, assuming that you meant that literally. Regardless of whether or not they recovered, the intent to harm was there. If they press charges, then they may be able to remove the opportunity for their killer to make any further attempts.

Advise your friend to prosecute upon returning to their world.

Is their killer here too?

How is it complicated?

Is your friend aware of this, and have they taken reasonable measures to ensure they are protected during their stay here?

When you say 'aren't using protection', do you mean that they are not only in contact with their killer, but are engaging in unprotected sex with them?

You should make sure to remind them of the dangers, particularly in this environment. Unsafe sex can lead to unwanted pregnancies and the contraction of sexually transmitted diseases. Unsafe sex with someone who has already killed them places them in danger of further assault.

They haven't pressed charges. Has the killer faced any punitive measures for their actions at all?

To be clear, are you saying that your friend's killer was sentenced to death for their actions in killing your friend?

[... So, no.]

Did the punitive consequences they faced earlier legally address the killing of your friend, and does your friend have a reasonable guarantee that they will not kill them again?

Your friend should cease their relationship with their killer immediately. They are being taken advantage of, and are at risk of being killed again.

Being willing to have sex does not mean they are making responsible decisions, nor does it preclude the danger their killer presents.
