You should make sure to remind them of the dangers, particularly in this environment. Unsafe sex can lead to unwanted pregnancies and the contraction of sexually transmitted diseases. Unsafe sex with someone who has already killed them places them in danger of further assault.

They haven't pressed charges. Has the killer faced any punitive measures for their actions at all?

To be clear, are you saying that your friend's killer was sentenced to death for their actions in killing your friend?

Did the punitive consequences they faced earlier legally address the killing of your friend, and does your friend have a reasonable guarantee that they will not kill them again?

Your friend should cease their relationship with their killer immediately. They are being taken advantage of, and are at risk of being killed again.

Being willing to have sex does not mean they are making responsible decisions, nor does it preclude the danger their killer presents.
