Hello everyone, this is Foggy with some questions of an adult nature for th adults of this community. Would those who are under the age of majority in their home please not continue on here, or do so aware that this is adult in nature.



Right, now that it's just us...

I have some questions about sexual health and this place. We come from a variety of worlds and times, and that means a variety of possible diseases and the ever possible pregnancy from the right sorts of activities.

Has anyone gathered information about STDs and this place? There's not a lot in the way of medicine, so it's something we need to keep on top of, especially with people coming and going with no warning.

And pregnancy. Is there some sort of protection people are using? Are we being safe, people?

We're adults. I know we're having sex. But we need to make sure everyone's safe and frankly, that we're not having babies in this place.

People don't seem to be sick here from all the intercourse, so I can't say what's going on there.

Fertility is only a concern if some of the theories are wrong. If they're right, then likely fertility is not going to be a concern.

That said, we've proven people get sick here, though we don't know how long we were in those tubes, so any illness may have been treated before they released us. Would explain the scrubs as well.

This isn't something he thinks Theta should be around, but once he got to the word 'adult' and tried to bail out, Theta had insisted he keep going. He was adult enough. Wonderful. At least he should learn about things here he supposes.]

I suppose the idea in part may be to speak to whatever medical professionals are available here to have them evaluate the status of health in this manner.

You mean the last week where a bunch of us vanished and there was nothing that could be done to stop it and when people got back there were a lot tearful and impassioned reunions?

I've heard the theory that we might be clones. If we are, there's a chance we've been sterilised to prevent pregnancies and entered this place free of all disease. But we might not have, if observing the effect of pregnancy and babies is part of it, or the spread of illness among a closed community.

And that's if we're clones. If we're not, then there's no reason to think we've been protected from any of this.

some of this, I just don't know how we can, not with what we have available to us.

Trauma and horror cause *skyrocketing* birth rates. It's a basic drive to reaffirm being alive.

I admin it's probably a good idea to have this discussion. Being mindful of a situation helps with the discussion of health. This is definitely something to center medical professionals on, even with this insanely low end level of technology.

I mean, two weeks ago this would have been a good conversation to have. And this probably is a priority conversation that no one had considered having to my knowledge?

I may be young, but I've had more partners than I can even count off the top of my head. Including plenty of randoms. Don't assume sheltered due to age.

And assuming that I know nothing about trauma and horror is also inherently faulted. Mercenaries know plenty about wanting sex after almost dying. What happened up there? That wasn't almost dead. That wasn't reaffirming being alive. Not for all of us. Not for a LOT of us.

It's a discussion that needs to happen. But I was putting it off for a good time, then this vanishing happened and people came back and I know what some of them immediately got up to.

So, what the hell, put it out there now.

And medical professionals would be welcome on the talk. Or anyone who has had like, boxes of medical supplies or sex supplies.

I said *nothing* about being sheltered from trauma or horror, just sex. One of my oldest friends was blinded and orphaned as a child, so I know kids can go through some awful shit.

I don't know what happened up there. I wasn't there. I only have what I heard from people who wanted to tell me about it. I know what happens with most people in my world when exposed to horror. They have sex. Good things? Have sex. Bad things? Have sex. Humans in my world? Have sex with very little provocation.

This conversation has to happen some time. I put it up now, because I know it was relevant for some people, at least. You don't want part of it, or think it's the inappropriate time? That's your opinion.

If you're so concerned, we could always start rounding everyone up for blood panels, but do you really want your STD's on public display? I'm presuming you have something, if you're so concerned.

I've checked our records. There have been no pregnancies since they first began recording. Either people have been completely abstinent, it rains condoms or birth control pills, or pregnancy is impossible.

Occam's razor leads me to the third.

I'm not a doctor. Claim no medical knowledge. Just starting a conversation about these things which I haven't heard anything about in the time I've been here.

I don't have anything to hide. I'm asking because not everyone has access to health care in their world. Because blood transfusions can get you just as sick as sex would. Because people are having sex and the possibility of pregnancy is a very real one where I come from.

The fact there's been no pregnancies recorded certainly points towards it being impossible. That's good to know.

Over half the villages vanished, appeared on a mountain at some shrine and saw things from their lives and each others. Then they had to hike back.

I don't know what most people saw. I know what people have chosen to tell me they saw. A lot of people were traumatised by it, all over again. You know everything I do now. I've only been here not quite two months.

I subscribe to that theory. Given things I've learned here, the changes that have been made to me, and knowledge I've gained since being here, I really do believe it's true.

They'd have to come up with a new reason for me not to believe it all I've learned here.

I admit, I haven't thought about it. Not a concern I have here or will have likely. BUT if they wanted illness to spread and be an issue, they would be better off with more like what nearly killed some recently.

And we did get sick and had to find a cure. It was apparently a local disease with a local cure. Why use something from outside of this please? Why things we know how to prevent?

i hear you. and i'm not a great judge of stuff like that, it took me years to try therapy and then i started getting snatched up to places like this so i guess i'll never really know if it made a difference. and the last meeting was just people shouting at each other but maybe it'll help air some shit out? i'm not going to be there either way but i just thought i'd throw it out there.

You raise a lot of good points but I need to stop thinking too hard on it for a bit, because it brings up a whole host of anxiety I can't do anything about, so I need to just... not think too hard on it for a moment.
