Weeks ago I witnessed something I never thought I would see. Of course you hear about it all the time: people disappear. People go home. They go somewhere.
For those who knew Alec, he's gone. And I'm so sorry.
We met up, we camped, and we looked out for one another. Once we made it back to the village, that was when he. Vanished.
It made me think; if he's gone home, what is home, for him? Would he be all right? And then I think about what “home” is for me and it hits all the harder that home is dark. Home is cold. Home is nothing.
There's nothing for me to go back to.
How is anyone supposed to deal with that? Especially when something like that happens and you can’t unsee it.
A need a fucking drink.

It would only disappoint you. Been there. Done that. Never again.
Come over. I've got, like, I don't know how much vodka but I'll share.
