Two things this evening for discussion.

First: It seems there is a new strangeness with the devices and I believe a frank and open discussion my be required. My wrist device seems to have changed from the usual blue which matched my arrival scrubs and to yellow. Furthermore I have not been able to access my previous guidance power. I have not attempted yet to see if I would be able to access the ability associated with yellow, but I believe a discussion may be warranted on this situation.


Second: Considering the loss of my guidance ability, I am not prepared to go through the forests alone to Watney's farming project where I was taken from. I had delayed my departure due to adjusting to the acquisition of a power from machine in the Bunker, but since then I have found myself in possession of some additional equipment.

Would there possibly be a party able to assist me in heading south with the gear? The sooner the better?

Kind of you, my friend. I would hope to depart by the weekend if at all possible. It isn't much to carry. I expect we could manage together.

I believe I will need prodded in a week or two to make sure I make the trip back up to the village. I do not trust myself to make that decision at this moment.

Also occasionally poking your head into my house while I'm gone to make sure it hasn't burned down would be nice.

I failed at communication a bit there. I am still here in the village, I am leaving soon for the southern farms. I stayed here as long as I did to recover and to head to the bunker for some power.

I should not have delayed as long as I have. I should have headed for the farm immediately.

I advise staying put until you’re more in control of yourself, but you shouldn’t be any danger as long as you don’t wander off alone.

I didn't say that.

There have been instances of things like this in the past. People receiving small video clips before the mess at the shrine, the unequal spread of fire magic when I arrived here. No one hundred percent consistency.

Somehow the idea that it is selective is more disturbing. What is it based on exactly?

If you can figure that out, or ask our captors, it would be appreciated. As it is, this seems arbitrary. I don't have a sufficient sample size to come to any conclusions. But typically what happens to one happens with others as well.

Or such is my experience to date.

From personal observation it does seem similar to things they’ve done in the past, but as far as I know nobody is keeping a record of all the crazy, stupid things that happen here.

If we take the river route, I can work on putting down some more of those stakes we've been forging.
