Since the medical staff keeps changing, I'd like a head count. If you have any kind of medical training - field medic, nurse, doctor, or anything in between even if it's just that you helped out in a crisis - would you mind letting me know? Even if I already know what you can do. You can tell me privately, if you'd rather. If you have skills, but would rather not be called on unless there's a crisis, let me know.

On that note, if anyone would like, I was thinking of offering medical classes. Honestly, the more people we have here who can respond in a crisis at all levels, the better all around. So if you're interested in medical lessons, let me know what you want to learn. Field medicine, triage, nurse, doctor. Or if you already know a few things and would like to help me teach, that would be wonderful as well.

Has anyone begun a record of what the effects of native plants are? If not, provided I can get the supplies, I would be willing to put effort toward that. I have written many books in my time, and to begin to do the same here would give me a bit more to do of the nights.

There was one once. A book at the Inn with drawings and descriptions. I'm not sure if it's still there, but if it is, Miss Kate would know where to find it. If not, I think getting another one started would be a great idea.

It may have to wait until we have the means to make paper, but if such a book already exists, I would be glad to add to it. I have been making efforts toward an almanac of sorts of late, but I will have to put off any efforts until my knee heals. This plant codex, however, could likely be done even when off my feet.

Paper and books are supplies we have long since been mourning the lack of. Miss Kate might know what's happened to that book and if it's still around, but I'll see if I can find out.

My group was one of those attacked by foxes on our way down the mountain, and while I am practiced in fighting men, I am less so in fighting beasts - especially those like the foxes. As I was striking one, another reached my knee. But do not worry, Sayyida. I am healing well, if slowly.

Asking me not to worry is like asking normal people not to breathe. [ she offers a small, amused chuckle at that. ] But I'm happy to hear that. If it starts to look worse, please let me know. I can't help what I don't know about.

Ah, then you are one of the chirurgeons of the village? I'd seen some during the plague but was focusing more on aiding the ill.

I'm not familiar enough with that word to say. I'm one of the doctors and medical staff here, if that's what you mean.

I beg your pardon, Sayyida. There are still many words in English I am unused to. But I do assure you that I am healing well. I have had worse injuries than this.

It's all right. Unfortunately, I haven't learned a lot of different languages, even Earth ones. But as long as you're doing well and your injury heals well, that's what matters.
