Checking in for our latest round of forced vacations. I'm with 7. We're both OK. We're in some kind of swamp. No idea where in relation to the village. We've got a creepy note here, apparently we're hunting snakes if we want to get home.

[ I'll go grab snake-sized length of rope and some of my tools, and I'll see if I can manage a live tutorial for you. You might also want to forage for some fallen branches for extra long-reach implements. You can never have too many.]

[A few minutes later, he does just that- impromptu herpetology lesson for the... uh. Well, it's passable, if not a total win? Probably more useful for the audio than the awkardly shot video of him wrangling a thick rope in multiple good idea/bad idea ways. Despite the snake handling theme, there is no innuendo whatsoever. At least, not on his end. Occasionally interrupted by Boudica the peahen-cat pouncing the rope and requiring her own handling.]

...sorry about that. If I lock her out of a room she leaves dead mice in my bed until I understand her position as queen of this household.

And foraging in a swamp for snakes is usually my ideal weekend- I guess it'd've been too easy if they sent me instead of you. And also probably part of why I had to take my sister to my senior prom.

[He goes through the basic instructions for how to use it- again, occasionally having to pick up Boo and place her a few feet away from the rope. There are some moments of extreme closeups of her fur and the sound of rumbling chirp-purring when he has to do so with both hands. It is, if you are a fan of bitchy birdcats, adorable.]

Please do, it'll be nice to have my expertise be useful again. Feel free to ask about anything else you might encounter out there. This place is pretty similar to my family's backyard, environment-wise.
If you can figure out where you are in relation to the village, I can probably meet you on the way back if you want a third pair of hands.

Really, really wishing I had the setup for making antivenom right now.
