I know it’s different for everyone. Living that mercenary life, you’re gonna have different circumstances than the average Joe on the street, and if that’s what works for you, that’s totally fair. [it’s not even so much a lack of faith in others that’s got jason hung up - it’s a lack of faith in himself. his sense of self-worth is basically nonexistent, and who could blame him? neglected by both parents, rebuffed by a would-be brother, abandoned by his adopted father figure. why would jason think he has anything to bring to a relationship? who would ever find an interest in him, think he was worth their time?]

I think I cashed in all my chances on impossible things when I came back from being dead. Don’t worry about it, Nida. I told you - I’m used to being on my own.
