I know that this method of communication is not new for most of you, but it is unlike anything I've ever really used before. I have discovered that one can make crude little faces to express emotion, like this - (: and ):

This made me curious as to what other things related to this electronic way of "speaking" I am ignorant about. Are there other faces? Are there rules about what might be forbidden? I find myself with more time than I know what to do with, and so any distractions in the form of advice would be helpful.

I've found it to be quite similar to writing letters in my own world- though the textual faces are quite delightful, I cannot think of anything that might constitute a rule. It is to be used in the same way as any written correspondence- to chat, to inform, or to entice.

Memes are a little advanced, but they’re a wonderful chapter for future lessons. For now you need emojis. That’s what the little faces are called, emo like emotion and ji like the letter G. Not sure where that part came from... Meme is pronounced meem. Counterintuitive, I know.

How is it that your tone managed to come through this electronic correspondence? I do find myself with a great deal of time on my hands; certainly more than I'm used to. I never realized how much saving the world multiple times took up in my day-to-day life. He mentioned wanting to teach me now to smith to assist in the creation of things. It sounds very boring.

There is also this option! It is a bit awkward to find a flattering angle, but I find this much easier to use with my fingers. [ He holds his hands up. His fingers are a bit large for watch-sized touchscreens. ]

[It takes some fiddling and figuring out, but Thor eventually gets a video of him going. He is holding it far too close, very much like a middle-aged parent trying to use FaceTime with a family member. The video is mostly the top portion of his forehead and his hair.]

I think this is working? I am having difficulty finding a flattering angle, as well! How do I - ? [He keeps shifting and maneuvering the camera, but can't seem to figure out how to get his actual face in the frame.] This is so troublesome!
