Hello everyone, this is Foggy with some questions of an adult nature for th adults of this community. Would those who are under the age of majority in their home please not continue on here, or do so aware that this is adult in nature.



Right, now that it's just us...

I have some questions about sexual health and this place. We come from a variety of worlds and times, and that means a variety of possible diseases and the ever possible pregnancy from the right sorts of activities.

Has anyone gathered information about STDs and this place? There's not a lot in the way of medicine, so it's something we need to keep on top of, especially with people coming and going with no warning.

And pregnancy. Is there some sort of protection people are using? Are we being safe, people?

We're adults. I know we're having sex. But we need to make sure everyone's safe and frankly, that we're not having babies in this place.

I am really glad to hear that people are discussing it. Yes, we have big threats looming over us, but that isn't a reason to ignore the smaller, more mundane stuff.

Not wanting to have kids isn't exactly a small mundane things for those of us with wombs.

That's not a commentary on you of course. Just that if you'e a child bearing woman, it should be considered. Horrible as it is!

I'm a big believer that since it takes two make a pregnancy happen, a guy has as much responsibility as his partner to avoid unwanted pregnancies and children. Sex is co-operative. Protection should be as well.

That's very sweet of you. I don't know many men who have in my history ever shown much interest in what I was taking to stop the baby, as long as it didn't happen. Now to be fair, my world isn't really the type of place we talk too much on it anyway. Babies happen or they don't.

I- don't consider it so much 'good' as, 'basic requirement of being a decent person and partner'.

Birth control has been a big part of my world on and off in various areas for centuries. Probably more, but I'm not much of a historian. And while some people think it's a woman's problem,, like I said above, if you contribute to the problem, you should contribute to the solution.

I agree with you, of course, but I've always taken care of myself so that's how I tend to look at it. No little Hawke's in the world needed.

A lot of guys have a bad attitude about it. Which is... something I feel I should apologise for on behalf of my gender.

I still feel a need to apologise. We're pretty shitty a lot of the time. As a gender.

I did surround myself with very good men, but in the army it was certainly less of a comfortable situation. Luckily I haven't met a man that I couldn't beat the snot out of given the chance.

About 95% of people I can. I beat a Qunari twice my size with a broadsword almost my full body length. He was a great warrior, unfortunately I had to kill him, I would normally leave those alone.
