hey so.

I had a weird dream. You and Anne were trying to convince Venom to reveal itself on camera. I know that Venom asked Anne to come but ever since this every time he's clammed up. Only answers yes or no. Seems super worried about me. I've tried to leave the house and talk to people three times and nearly barked at them.

I'm not mad. Just...trying to put together what happened. Did this thing I dream actually happen?

When my sister was six, she made us a new tree angel out of supplies she found around the house.

Those supplies happened to be feminine hygiene products. The menstrangel has been a tradition ever since. Our merrily absorbent tradition.

I had a pretty nice Christmas last year. Just me and mom, a home cooked meal, a tree, a couple of presents to exchange.

It’s not really a cool story but Xmas is usually a disaster at my house and me and mom only just started getting close.

Uh, serious question here. What is Hanukkah? And Christmas? I mean, winter is coming up so yeah, winter solstice which is this whole thing with gift giving and parties and feasts to celebrate the turning of the year.

Hanukkah is a Jewish holiday. I honestly don't know what it means, but there's a menorah and they give gifts for 8 nights. I guess they get the best presents on the last night...?

I am...totally unsure.

Christmas celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ our lord and savior. For those who believe in that sorta thing. He uh-It's basically winter solstice but it deals with the church and there's a tree and presents too.

So...essentially one is a super canonized version of your winter solstice and the other is a super cool religious holiday that has centuries of tradition.

Religious holidays? Huh. Interesting. And Winter Solstice has more than centuries of tradition. You should see it in Trabia. They have this festival for the arts. The city is decorated with icicles. Glass and metal and stone or wood. All polished to a sparkle. I've seen pictures. It's probably really stunning.

I guess religious holidays don't process for me. We don't really have religions.

I'm sure you've already heard all my stories. We should figure out how to decorate here with what we have. Certainly no lack of wreath making materials!

Maybe? I haven't had a poinsettia at home for years - poisonous to cats, you know. I've seen them out in the wild. What kind of climate do they grow in?

I've always wondered what kinda stuff people do to celebrate that. I mean my education basically ends at the Rugrats Hannukah special.

Born and raised Catholic. Not really practicing but the holidays are kind of a shitty time of the year for everybody so I was thinking about making an effort at getting into the spirit.

What if we found a tree to cut down and bring inside?
Make it a fire hazard with some candles or decorations we can find in the woods?

[She doesn't have a lot of experience with Christmas but she's been to Clints during Christmas once and remembers all of their traditions and the fun that they'd had.]

Well, yes and no. Par Vollen, where I am from, don't really have seasons and thus no concept of winter, but other places have them. There is Satinalia or feast day a lot of places that marks the beginning of winter. There is also Wintersend which marks exactly what you think.
